Honor's Dawn Forum and Server Rules

The Staff of Honor's Dawn reserve the right to punish players who are found in violation of these rules. Regardless of whether you have read them or not, when you create an account here you are required to state an acceptance of these rules. These rules are subject to change under the administration's discretion with or without notice, these rules are also final and are not up for discussion.

Server Rules

Racism, discrimination or hateful comments pertaining to one's sexual orientation.
We have a zero tolerance policy towards this, it is absolutely unacceptable.
If you for one second think that this is acceptable, or that you are just "voicing your opinion", please tell it to the nearest Brick Wall, as the only attention you'll get for such things here is a permanent ban, no questions asked.

Advertising of other Private Servers.
If you own another Private Server there are legitimate means of advertising them, those are the means that we have always used and have never harassed other Servers. A tolerance level of zero is also taken against this, remember that there is a difference between a discussion and outright advertising.

Bugs and Exploits.
These are not to be exploited are to be brought to the attention of a Staff member.
You may find yourself handsomely rewarded for doing so.

Malicous software use.
Pretty straight forward, no use whatsoever.
If found guilty in malicous software use/hacking, will result in a permanent ban.

Pornographic/Shock/Offensive Websites.
This should go without saying, there should be absolutely no reason why you should feel it necessary to ever mention a website like this.
Again, zero tolerance.

Excessive swearing and verbal abuse.
Once may be fine, though you might be warned. Ultimately there shouldn't be a need for this, but it's bound to happen, if you have a problem with a player's actions you should report it, if they're not breaking a rule then ignore them, simple as that.
If you make some big outburst of language, expect a harsher penalty than a warning.

Spam.
If you've got something to say, say it once; people might respond, if they don't, try again later.
If you're just going to flood the chat, that's spamming and is not acceptable.
Spamming our Forums is not okay either, expect a punishment.

Ban Appeals and Abuse Reports.
These matters are only discussed with the parties involved, they are not to be discussed on one of our servers, in our forums etc.
If you see a player ingame asking ''Why was I banned?'', tell them to head to our Forums.
They are only to be discussed in the Ban Appeals or Abuse Reports forums, you may then write an appeal if you wish. If you see a player in violation of our Rules, gather evidence and submit an Abuse Report.


Forum Rules

No bumping of old Topics.
It's appreciated that you don't bump month old Topics, especially if it's just to reply by saying "lol".

Read all sticked Topics in the appropriate Forum before asking a question.
Sticked Topics are Topics that have been stuck in place and will remain there, rather than slowly disappearing down the page.
They will usually contain useful or important information.

Please don't create Topics about servers being offline or instability issues.
Now the reason for this rule, is that we are usually inundated with such Topics if the servers go down.
It doesn't help nor does it make it any quicker, If it's down, trust me, we're on it.

Do not post links to malicious sites or sites that hijack your Web Browser.
The definition of this would be a site that tries to install Malware, Spyware, Adware or Viruses onto your Computer. Or sites that hijack your Browser and the only way to stop it, is to close the Process. One example of these sites, would be a certain 'Rickrolling' website.

No offensive Avatars, Signatures or Forum Account names that would fall under these rules.
Should be pretty straight forward, depending on the situation all that may be needed is for an administrator to rename your account or modify your Signature or Avatar, though if the offending material violates a certain rule, the punishment may be far more severe.

Spam.
If you've got something to say, say it once; people might respond, if they don't, try again later, simple.

Please don't 'double post'.
If you feel that there is something else that you need to add, make use of the Edit button.

If encountered any bugs throughout our servers, make sure to report it at the right section. Any abuse of this bug might cause suspension of your account, loss of characters or even permanent IP ban.
