How to: All realmlists in one!

Post by Aeragan on Mon Oct 19, 2009 8:48 pm

As you might know, we are not the only server with 3.2.2 out in the world. Therefor, some of the players here might be playing on another 3.2.2 server, or might wish to play on one. However, when they want to play on the other server, they might go on the servers webpage and spend several minutes (3-5) of their life on finding and changing the realmlist, because they didn't know that you could keep the realmlist in the realmlist.wtf file without interupting the game play and the WoW client. This is a simple way of saving many minutes of your life from changing that realmlist.

To keep several realmlist in one realmlist.wtf file, replace everything that is currently in your realmlist.wtf file with the text which is stated below.

# Retail WoW
#set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
#set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com
#set realmlistbn ""
#set portal eu

Honor's Dawn WoW
#set realmlist <Honor's Dawn IP>

When you want to play on (for instance) retail, just remove the # that are infront set realmlist, patchlist, realmlistbn, portal and put a # infront of the Honor's Dawn WoW realmlist.

Easier explanation
Instead of removing the Private server's realmlist when you want to play on another server, just write a # infront of the server's realmlist and write a comment (if you want) above the server's realmlist that tells you it is the server's realmlist, so you wont forget it. Then you can write the other servers realmlist below the server's realmlist, and when you want to play on Honor's Dawn, remove the # that is infront of the Honor's Dawn realmlist and put a # infront of the other servers realmlist.

It's as simple as that really.

Do you have any questions or did you miss anything, then post and ask for help.
